Vans Wingtip Flats

4.0 out of 5 stars

Mar 10, 2012   Vans flats review by

These have been positively my favorite shoes since I bought them on sale for $20 dollars in July 2011. I fell in love the instant I found them because I was inspired by "Singing in the Rain" and previously decided that I wanted Wingtips. Not to mention they are easier to wear dressed up than the standard Vans shoes so I could pull them off at church on Sunday as well as at work.

They are very comfy, the Vans sellers reassured me when I felt like they were too tight at the beginning that they would loosen up and be incredibly comfortable. They hurt the first time I wore them but they have proven true to be incredibly comfortable ever since.

They are very durable in weather too, I like how they have good traction because they prevent me from sliding on the ice more than my leather winter boots do.

One major issue I have with them is that their paint job is not very strong. They began to look very worn out after two months of wear and when I went to polish them to make them look new the paint completely fell off!

Another thing I wish was different if I were to go on these flats again is that the colors are flipped, black on the tips and white on the inside, I think this would help them look better longer.
