Hi guys! I love Chictopia! So I was just thinking about how a lot of people don’t like it when a black piece of clothing is paired with a brown one. Myself included. I think mixing neutrals too much is a no-no as it is, but two things as close as black and brown? Ick. I was just wondering what you guys thought? Also, what about mixing silver and gold? Fan? Not a fan?

I’ve worn black and brown before, but i made sure I kept the brown elements in the same shade. The problem is where you’re mixing to many shades of a color together. If you’re wearing a black dress with a light brown clutch, tan shoes and a dark brown belt, that could be distracting and unflattering. However, say you wear a tan belt, a black dress, black pumps with a tan wooden heel, and a black or tan clutch, that works.

I do not mix gold and silver. I just cannot do it, period.
